It's been so long since I got on my blog. I've just been so busy! Me the fam moved to a new house. It's really neat. I've got my own bedroom that has a real toddler bed. I sleep in it all by myself. Well almost. I have to have my puppy and sometimes a baby doll too. The new house is also big enough for the new baby sister that's coming in November. Mommy says that I can give her my bottle and help change all the diapers. I can't wait to meet her.
So my new house is in Emporia and really close to lots of my family and I get to see them all the time. Auntie Dode stops by and makes dinner with us. Uncle Scott was just here and he was totally getting my nose. He's a good ladder too so I can climb up him and look out the windows. Of course I get to see Papa and Nana, and Triton, and Jerika and all the rest of the Newton clan on a regular basis.
Well that's it for now. I just took a bath in my antique tub and need to go to bed. Now where's that puppy.

14 months

Our little sass is growing up way to fast. At 14 months "sugar and spice" describes you so well. You can be so sassy and independent. You also need your down time with lots of cuddles. Everyone loves the long hugs you give, and you have even started giving the occasional kiss.

When we say "I'm gonna get you" you squeal and start crawling away as fast as possible. You have taken up to 8 steps, but now it seems like you have decided against walking. You prefer to hold on to something while walking or just crawl. Your favorite song is "If you happy and you know it." When we start sing it, you start clapping (you also do stomp your feet).

I carved my first jack-o-lantern at playgroup. I wasn't real sure about how squishy it felt but after I felt it a bit, I couldn't keep my hands out of it. I also liked how it taste. Mommy carved the pumpkin, so it had teeth just like me (5).

We went camping one last time before we had to winterize the fifth wheel. It's getting cold outside but we couldn't resist. It was super windy out, so we had to stay in the camper a lot, so I didn't get wind burnt. I had fun anyway, there is a lot of things to explore and climb on in our camper.

I am just over two spiders tall. I had to give the spider a taste...mmmmmm. My face looked horrible after a tumble in the pumpkin patch. Who knew that the vines would jump up and trip me. It sure made me look like a tough girl with a big red scratch that went from the top of my head to my chin. The scratch faded away in a couple of hours.

If there is anyone out there that still checks this blog, we are so sorry for not updating lately. As you will see we have had a very busy summer. For some reason our blog died about the time Lyla started crawling. Now that we are use to her getting into everything constantly, we will start updating. Keep checking all the way back to the end of June and we will get everything filled in, between baby break ins and diaper explosions.

On the way home I enjoyed a snack of cheesy poofs and a bottle, I was soo tired. I do love shopping there is so many things to look at, and so many people to yell "Hi" to.

11 months

Tick... Tock.... one month closer to being a big girl. I am getting really tall and weigh 20 pounds and 14 ounces. I am getting really fast at crawling, and am pretty good at cruising (that means walking along the sofa etc while holding on). I have gotten really quick at climbing up stairs, and am learning how to go back down backwards. I like to stand on my tip toes and look out of the windows. When I hear kids playing outside, I really want to go and join them. I can't wait until I can run and play with the big kids.
My favorite foods are strawberries, watermelon, baby cheesy poofs, mac and cheese and popsicles. Some of my favorite things are playing outside, my stuffed animals, splashing in the water bowl, climbing on Diggity Dog and sticking my fingers in her mouth. I love to give hugs and kisses, and will withhold them just to tease someone. Words I say that other people can understand Mama, Dada, Dig Dog, More, and Hi. I can point, clap my hands, and wave.

Today my friend Brendan came over to play. Brendan is a lot taller than me, I'm not sure why. He is 2 whole days younger than I am. Brendan wore me out, and I took a 2 hour nap. Mommy thinks he should come over every day. After my nap Daddy came with us to an eye doctor. He has a lot of cool things to check out in his office. They put some drops in my eyes and I was so good the whole time. My check up went great, and I don't have to go back until I'm 3.

MMMMmmmmmm this watermellon is devine. It's definately one of my favorite foods. For some reason I always have to eat it wearing just a diaper, and go straight into the tub afterward. We had a very close call in Branson. My traveling puppy was missing for an hour before we noticed, and went back to find him playing dead in a parking lot. I like to toss him out at the last second as the door slides shut. Daddy was actually watching to make sure I didn't pull this stunt. My timing was impeccable, and he fell out the bottom of the door before it sealed shut. You may think this is the first time my puppy has been lost, nope I had good timing one other time. I totally freaked some big kids out, it was hilarious.

We were parked on the street, and on the other side of the street there were 3 kids riding bikes. As Daddy backed up the kids jaws hit the floor and they began to point in shock right at the van. Daddy got out and looked to see what could have happened to traumatize these kids so much. When he got out he realized they were pointing at my puppy, and he just backed over it. After the accident my puppy has been nicknamed "Roadkill." He is starting to look a little worn from all of his adventures, but I still love him.

We went and saw the show Liverpoole Legends, and it was fun. We listen to alot of Beetles music, and I liked the bubbles during Yellow Submarine. I also got drive a corvette during the break. To top the evening off Triton sang to everyone in the cafe, and he chose our favorite song, "Here comes the sun."

It's party time! Daddy and I are rocking the night away. We're going to stay up late and eat popcorn and watch movies, read books, yank Diggy's hair and all sorts of other fun things. There's a whole plate full of fudge in the kitchen and Daddys said he'd share. I bet I can stay up all night. I'm so excited. I do kind of miss my mommy though. A full night without my mommy's kisses and tickles. :( Maybe if I stay up the I won't dream about missing her. Yeah, that's what I'll do. I'm going to stay up all night. Better get to it.

Check me out! I went golfing. Well really I only hung out for a couple holes while daddy and his buddy Scotty golfed out at Eagle's Bend, but it was fun. I saw some deer and geese and a birdy. Daddy said he didn't get a birdy so I must be imagining stuff. I'm not sure what he meant by that. My daddy is the best golfer I've ever seen in person. On this one hole he was really far away from me and then hit it right next to me. Pretty impressive huh? I didn't even hear it coming. He just yelled "Four" and then I heard a thump in the grass. Mommy put my bug net on my super duper off roadin shock absorbin Jeep stroller so I was protected from golf balls. Ever tried watching sports through bug net? Kind of tough.

It's Raining, It's Pouring, My Old Man is . . .

Holding me up! Thank goodness too because the ground was wet and slippery. It rained really hard but I was ready. Mom helped put me in this cool rain slicker and the boots were a bit big but don't they match nicely? I'm still working my colors but I'm pretty sure yellow, green, orange, white and red match for real.
These are my tomatoes. I can't eat them yet. Mom says maybe when I get older, like 1. But that's MONTHS away. I don't know if I can wait. They really yummy and they're just my size.
The rain and storms don't bother me but we've had a lot of them this summer. When it thunders outside I don't even care. I can sleep right through it. But that Diggy Dog. Darn her sometimes she's gotta go barking and running and sure enough she feels like she has to come in to my room to do it. I give her a good cry at that point. I think she's just looking out for me but jeez Diggy, give your sis' a break!

Happy Birthday Daddy! We went to T-Rex cafe with Grandma, Grandpa, and Elliott. There were lots of dinosaurs there and some of them moved around. Elliott told me many times that they were not real, but I think he was just trying to convince himself of that, he was jumpy. As a surprise for my Daddy, I got my first tooth today.

On Father's Day we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for brunch, cooked by the Herberts. Oliver and Auntie Adrienne made waffles, bacon, and strawberry syrup. Elliott set the table and put everyones names at their seat and made cards for the guys. Then he went outside to show us how he could hit a home run.

On the second day on the river, I got to go along to get a group picture of everyone with the canoes. While everyone was getting their things together Grandma was nice enough to entertain me by teaching me how to paddle and showing me the canoes and kayak. Mommy said that trying to get everyone together for a group picture is about as easy as herding cats.

Today was the first day everyone was suppose to go on the river. We woke up to it raining, and by 2 o'clock it finally cleared up enough for everyone to go. They put in at Cedar Grove and finished up at Akers Ferry. Grandma, Grandpa, and Maizie were in the first canoe. Auntie Kubber, Autie Adrienne, and Elliott were in the second. Mommy, Daddy, and Jerika were in the third. Oliver got to be in his own kayak. I got to spend the afternoon napping with Aunt Dode.

After everyone got back we enjoyed the evening at the swimming pool. I must take after my big sis Diggity Dog, because neither of us can get enough time in the water.

Road trip day one

My first big road trip! We headed down to the Current River in Missouri. It was a 6 hour drive. I did really well, because I was so tired from parting the night before. In the first picture if you look carefully in my mirror, you can see that I was sleeping too.

Once we got to our cabin everyone pitched in and taught me new things. Grandma she's a real card shark, and she taught me Solitaire. Daddy is the pyro, and taught me how to start a camp fire. Jerika and Elliott taught me how to catch lightning bugs. For day one on a trip, I sure learned a lot.

Meet my little buddy Belle. At play date today she decided to grab a hand full of my hair. WOW! I had never had my hair pulled before, what a shock. She could actually get a hand full of my beautiful flowing hair, probably because her hands are so small. I was really dramatic about the whole ordeal, and sobbed for quite awhile in hopes that Belle would get a time out. We really need to work on our relationship.

If you laugh at my chubby legs, I will shoot my laser beams at you. Jeez, I can't believe Mommy put me in this outfit. It is not very flattering for my legs.

When my cousin Jerika was younger she thought when she opened her mouth that her eyes glowed red. TJ pointed out to her that her eyes were red in her pictures, because she was smiling. She thought if she opened her mouth at people, it would scare them, because her eyes would turn red.
