3 months old

I am three months old! I weigh 12 pounds 8 ounces. I like to have conversations with people. When someone talks to me I coo and smile at them. I eat up to 4 oz at a time. I laughed for the first time, on my three month birthday. I'm really starting to enjoy my toys, and I'm trying to figure out how to grab them. I sleep from 11pm until 7am, almost everyday, but I do need my binkie put back in about 5am.

Aunt Dode thought I needed this onsie, because it said Wednesday on it. She said if I was born on Halloween that my middle name should be Wednesday. Get it....Wednesday Adams. Haha good thing I wasn't born on Halloween. I like Delaney just fine.

Nana

Happy Birthday Nana! We went to Emporia to celebrate Nana's birthday. We stayed at the Ybarra's house and stayed up late playing Wii. Someday maybe I can play as good as my cousin Triton.

I can't wait until I have a sandbox to play with my new road grader. My Papa drives a road grader. Papa and Nana found one to add to my Tonka truck collection.

Lately I have been trying to figure out how to fit both of my hands in my mouth at the same time. It's a real challenge but I will keep on trying.

Eyelashes

Mommy is so glad I got my Daddy's eyelashes. I hope that someday my hair is longer than my eyelashes.

I thought I saw a Jayhawk

Tonight we went to a Topeka's Road Runners hockey game. Morgan thought the mascot was a Jayhawk. It was 2 degrees out tonight. I stayed cozy and warm and slept all the way home.

Today I went over to my new friend Ria's house for a play date. I get to see almost all of my friends twice a week. After the play date I was sooooooooo tired.

Lyla, today Daddy put you down in your crib for a nap. It was the first time you have slept in your crib. You are getting to be such a big girl. I decided to put your laundry away while you slept, and box up some of your clothes that have become too small. I can't believe how much you have changed in just a few short weeks. Right now you are trying so hard to learn how to babble. You look right and me and talk and laugh, but not much comes out. I am loving your big toothless grins.

I decided to put you in the outfit we brought you home from the hopital in, before I boxed it up. You were so sweet and put up with me dressing you in an outfit that was too small. My sweet baby girl is getting so big!

My big girl bed

Today I took my first nap in my big girl bed. At night I still sleep in my bassinet right next to my Daddy, so he can rock me or put my binkie back in. I have been sleeping around 7 hours straight a night. Daddy asked Mommy if I was big enough to sleep in my room at night. She told Daddy when I'm 3 years old, but she was just kidding.

I really like to watch my mobile. I almost laugh out loud everytime they wind it up for me. Mommy and Daddy think I'm laughing at my mobile. I'm actually laughing because I know they are spoiling me rotten, when they run in and wind up the mobile every 2 minutes.

Mommy and Daddy call this my "stink eye". I've already learned the art of giving a dirty look. I still hate to be buckled into my carseat, so I gave Mommy the stink eye. It must not have scared her off, because she still buckled me in.

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve at Uncle Ricker's house. I learned how to play poker, and now I'm a card shark. Check out the sunglasses Uncle Scott lent me. I bet you couldn't tell that I was bluffing.

Uncle Rick gave me a New Year's kiss. My New Year's resolution is to learn how to walk.
